Default Htpc mobo

Hello Everyone, I may be on a quest for something that does not exist. I desire an STANDARD ATX size INTEL motherboard for my HTPC that will allow me to via software to startup and shutdown hard disk drives to control noise. I suspect that a hot swappable motherboard may have this feature...

I am looking for a high performance motherboard.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Default Wd tv

Was @ Sam's Clib the other day, the WD TV was around $97. You could hook it up to your HDTV and use a LAN cable to your PC in another room. I don't own one. I think I read some positive reviews on these forums.

I built a Zotac/Atom PC (ordered the parts from mini-box.com. It hangs on the back of the TV and reads movie files from my server. If I need a second setup, the WD TV looks pretty good.
