Default Problems with Valkyrie BD+ removal

AnyDVD HD 6.6.4.8 is throwing errors trying to remove BD+ from my copy of Valkyrie. (USA Region A, UPC 883904138242) I read a lot of posts that mentioned Daemon Tools and thus SPTD causes problems with AnyDVD HD. So I removed Daemon Tools and SPTD. I doubled checked SPTD is disabled by checking the registry setting Duplex Secure lists in their FAQ. (As a side note, I found Virtual CloneDrive to be an excellent program to replace Daemon Tools so thanks SlySoft!) I still receive the same errors even without SPTD. Is this a version of BD+ that perhaps just hasn't been added to AnyDVD HD yet? Anyway, I created log files with and without SPTD running and attached them to this post if that helps. The output from the AnyDVD info window was identical either way. Here is the output:

Summary for drive D: (AnyDVD 6.6.4.8)
ATAPI IHES1082 7L05 2009/01/08 15:42
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

Media is a Blu-Ray disc.

Total size: 21022592 sectors (41059 MBytes)
Video Blu-ray label: VALKYRIE

Info: Failed to read /BDSVM/00000.svm!
ERROR: Failed to read /BDSVM/00000.svm!
Failed to remove BD+, Error 403!

Thanks in advance for any help.

The version of AnyDVD you are using ( 6.6.4.8 ) is up to date. If you are a registered user, I strongly recommend that you update to the latest beta version 6.6.5.9

Code:
ATAPI IHES1082 7L05 2009/01/08 15:42
Please ensure you are using the latest firmware for your optical drive. See here.

Rip speeds on DVD and Blu-Ray might be improved by MediaCodeSpeedEdit. Please see RIPLOCK.
If installed (often from Duplex Secure, Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% ), uninstall SPTD, which is the culprit for slow rips.
See here and here.

There are read errors which can be caused by a badly pressed disc, dirty disc, damaged disc, problematic filters, driver conflicts, and a slowly dying DVD drive among other things.

See SamuriHL's Bad Disc Guide:
  1. Disable AnyDVD
  2. Load ImgBurn and select Read Mode
  3. Create ISO image on the hard drive
  4. If the ISO image creation was successful, enable AnyDVD and mount the image with Virtual Clone Drive. Try to play it.
  5. If the ISO image creation was unsuccessful, you have either a bad disc and/or a bad drive.

Thanks Mike and James for the prompt responses. It must be the disc because I have tried ripping plenty of other discs since this one and they all have read and ripped just fine. Sorry to waste your time with a bad disc; I just didn't expect it to manifest itself this way especially considering it plays on my PS3. Thanks again for the quick support; it reassures my decision to buy a lifetime license of AnyDVD HD. Now hopefully Fox will replace my copy, but I'm not expecting the same kind of support from them.
