Default 720x480 setting produces 720x552 output

I am doing a generic conversion of a DVD to AVI output
settings as follows:
Deinterlace: 2-pass
Resolution: 720x480 (NTSC TV)
Video Format: MPEG2 NTSC 4:3 720x480

BUT the actual avi file that is created has a resolution of 720x552 !!??

(I also did a conversion with res set to 640x480, and that produced output size as expected.)

So, what is going on with this, and how do I get it to produce correct output size of 720x480 for ntsc tv?
thank you

Are you using the latest beta 1.8.0.1?
If not, download then install it from here: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=49364

After conversion, use the Save transcoder log... option and then upload the .txt file created as an attachment to your next post.
Then, before exiting CloneDVD mobile, click the Log tab. You should see some information listed.
Right-click (on the text)>Save as.... Name the .txt file and save. Upload this aswell to your next post.

If using AnyDVD, update to the latest beta version:
AnyDVD 6.8.5.10 beta: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=49628
Also, provide a Logfile, too.
See point 6.A. here on how to do so:
http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=14199

A developer can then take a look and advise as necessary.
Alternatively, do the above, open a ticket (see link below) and refer them to this thread.
