Hey there people. I'm new in here so bare with me if this has already been asked. I did look around for a couple of hours though and I just cannot find a solution to my problem. So here goes.
My setup: PC connected to Logitech z-5500 through S/PDIF. Mpc-hc 32 Bit Lavcuvid Cuda Video Decoder Lavsplitter Madvr Renderer Reclock Since I set Lav audi decoder to passthrough ac3 and dts I've been using the "default directsound device" and "Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder" When I use reclock and set it to accept bitstream I get both audio and video. In reclock properties it says "Bitstream override: media played at original speed" and "Audio: WaveOut (bit exact)", which i gather means its working it's magic. When it's set like this madvr reports that 1 frame is repeated every 40 sec. If I uncheck the option to accept bitstream, I don't get any sound to my speakers but the "1 frame repeated every 40 seconds" jumps up to around 7 hours very quick. Is there any way that I can get reclock working on the video, so repeated frames doesnt happen, while using bitstreaming? Thanks in advance

You got it wrong
"Bit exact" means ReClock doesn´t do anything... I recommend you to use LAV Audio 32-bit float and ReClock WASAPI, 24bit padded into 32-bit and 96khz... Bitstream is not ideal solution if you are using ReClock...If you "must" use bitstream, then try to uncheck the box under the "accept bitstream" thing... It may or may not work debending on system. And do not check "slave reference clock to audio" or you disable ReClock... Last edited by SamuelMaki; 4th November 2011 at 17:14. |

But best is to not use ReClock at all, if you "must" bitstream.

I tried to explain that you must check "accept bitstream formats", and after that uncheck "disable media speed correction...". But the best thing you can do, is decode it to 32-bit float PCM (lossless) and let ReClock do its magic and output sound in WASAPI to skip that windows mixer shit...

Any other things i could try or should i just forget about reclock through s/pdif? Is the ability to use reclock alongside bitstreaming something that is in the works? Edit: I got reclock working on the video with bitstream audio. So basically now i just need to know if there's a filter that can pass the audio through reclock, timecorrect it and then send it to my z-5500 in a format it will accept. ReClock has an AC3 encoder you can try, it will re-encode audio for use with SPDIF.

I set reclock to use AC3 encoding and now i get both video and audio correction (atleast i think so). Only problem is that dts becomes DD5.1. Since dts has correction for small package loss i just set dts to passthrough. This way i get both audio and video correction with dd5.1 materiel and with dts i only get video, but i cannot detect any audio errors anyway. I took this screenshot. ![]() It does say "cannot sync this cinema video.." but in madvr stats the dropped/repeated frames time is 5hours+ so i know it's working. Am I misunderstanding something or is reclock working correct? |

Just give it a go with default direct sound device if you want to bitstream dts/ac3. (without decoding.)
