Hi,

Auto Notification Tab - In settings.

What is the default setting and when to tick/untick?

Right click the check box/text and you will get an explanation of what the setting does.

Let's not turn this into a Nobel Prize discussion.
The default for Auto Insert Notification is "on", has been that way forever and will not cause you any lost sleep. You disable that only if you are using the WinAspi32 compatibility mode and you can ask about that but you don't need to worry about it since I doubt you are using Windows 9X or 200x, right?

winaspi32 is just an interface type used with cd/dvd drives. Operating systems as of W2k or higher don't require winaspi32.. on older systems like windows 9x/me, you had to install an aspi layer (typically from adaptec) to give your cd/dvd burner 'functionality' as a burner, as well as also giving a low level interface to them for programs to use.. thats all and is not a problem anymore.
