why does my anydvd status say this all the time now.e:unknown disc type (empty ? ) anydvd turned off ? how do i get it turned back on ? plus why do all my dvds keep saying disc error in most dvd players,but will play fine in my laptop and other computers ?

well if there's a blank or no disc inside the drive it's normal anydvd turns itself of as there's nothing to decrypt. For the 2nd part, defective discs?

Also some drive firmware can cause this message to appear but anydvd continues to work. Maybe yours is one of them.
