I didn't claim it was a hardware defect, it was just a first guess I wouldn't have made if I had known about the many drives you tried at that point. I would probably have pulled back my guess if you had answered my questions.

It does exactly what it is advertised as doing. AnyDVD "still" reporting structural protection on a backed up ISO is totally normal and has been typical behavior for years. It has to do with how the protection is patched while still preserving 1:1 integrity. That's part of using the 1:1 ISO route to make a backup. It's basically a "false positive." As you yourself mention, your backup is 100% working.

Every now and then, someone (like you are now) comes along and gets really upset about this, despite being informed that the behavior is normal and there's nothing to worry about. Really... don't worry. Every bit of time you spend on trying to "solve" this is a waste of your time, energy, and wits.

If you are really THAT bothered with seeing AnyDVD "still" reporting structural protection, then use a reauthoring option instead (i.e., CloneDVD).

Good luck!!

Default I thought I answered this - it's a non-problem

Please let's not beat a dead horse here. Copies MAY look to AnyDVD that there are bad sectors looking like protections. This will not affect the quality of the copy. Re-copying a copy w/ AnyDVD is hit and miss since a commercial burner cannot burn as deeply as a factory machine. These are false errors.

To make another copy from a copy either "save" the TEMP folder in the CloneDVD process or disable/exit AnyDVD and use copy/paste in Windows, get the folder off the copy to the HDD and use Write Existing Data to burn another copy. Nothing can or will be done about this issue in AnyDVD.
