Slow ripping...
I have a 12x ASUS BC-12B1ST BD drive that apparently doesn't have riplock and a 10x LG drive that I removed riplock from. The 12x ASUS drive is much slower on every disc I test. It rarely breaks 20MB/s, when the 10x LG drive is sitting at 25MB-30MB/s at times. The 10x drive rips the same disc almost 15 minutes faster than the 12x drive. The ASUS drive has no firmware updates that I can find, so i'm going to be returning it and going back to LG.
What is the fastest 12x LG BD drive that can have it's riplock removed? I do not need burning, only reading.
