Security of Licence

Please, sorry my bad English.

I access internet over a shared connection.

Sometimes AnyDVD HD connect SlySoft servers to get some BD new key, and there is an authentication / validation or something like this to prove that my software is licensed

Is my license key protected when this kind of connection is done, or there is a risk of someone do some kind of Man-in-the-middle attack and stole my license key?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but this worrying me.

Yes, because the license key is not sent.

No, this won't work.

But the key is stored on your computer harddisk, so if a 3rd party tool (trojan?) is present, it can steal your key. If a person has physical or network access to your harddisk, he / she can steal your key.
