Sometime in the 4th quarter of 2012. Would that suffice?

Yep more than fine, as long as you really have that info from Slysoft.

This little tidbit:
Quote:
Giancarlo Bettini, CEO at SlySoft says:
"This major release of AnyDVD marks the start of a very active 2012 for
SlySoft with more major releases and new upcoming products in our queue.
Although I am not allowed to go into details I can tell you that
everyone should keep an eye on our website for things to come."
Now he never says "product A will be released in 2012". I think those are the details he can't get into. Seeing the progress they are making with Slyce however, i think it's reasonable to say that Slyce will be one of those "active" products for 2012. But in the end, they will release it when it's ready for prime time and not before.

I know Slyce isnt out yet, but if I want to backup my blu-rays to blu-rays, how does ClownBD and AnyDVD-HD compare to DVD Fab?

Is the main difference being that DVD Fab can compress to BD-25 if need?
So slyce is clonedvd 2. You'd think with all the licences sold slyce would be included in a future clonedvd update. But obviously Slysoft need another revenue stream.
I might as well set a few grand aside and start getting another software suite.

No it isn't. CloneDVD is for regular DVDs, Slyce will be for Bluray discs. Two totally different video data storage setups. Also CloneDVD is intellectual property of Elaborate Bytes, not Slysoft. Elby is the company that updates CloneDVD.
