Drive speed setting, seperate BR from DVD please

When my drive - Samsung B083L is set to 'Video DVD - Slow & Quiet', my DVD's play fine, but many blu ray discs stutter and don't play correctly.

If I set 'Video DVD - Medium', then the blu ray discs play fine, but it goes too loud on the DVD's

James suggested before that BR should be covered under 'Other' disc type, but this is not the case.



Can you please split BR/HDDVD from DVD in the speed section please.

I remember requesting this along with more exact control of the drive speed ages ago. However unless something's changed in the very latest versions "Other Disc" has always controlled the Blu-ray disc speed for me.

What is your Windows version & software player? Also, do you know what kind of optical drive commands your software player uses (ASPI, SPTI, etc.)?
