Default AnyDVD support for USB external DVD burners

Hi, all. I've been using AnyDVD for a number of years now with an old [single-core] Pentium 4 machine w/an IDE dvd burner. Yeah, it's ancient compared to what most are running nowadays. :-)

I purchased an X201 over a year ago and am considering using that as my new decoder/ripper machine since it's got a faster CPU. The laptop does not have an internal DVD drive however which would mean that I'd have to get an external drive. (Been looking at the Samsung SE-218BB drive if anyone is interested.)

Before I make the purchase though, I'd like to confirm if AnyDVD properly supports USB attached DVD drives. I've looked at the AnyDVD requirements and it doesn't say specifically that it doesn't but would appreciate if Slysoft support or a fellow forum member can confirm please.

Thanks.
