Default BLURAY HELP NEEDED. Basic operation not working!

I saw the FAQ posted on how to backup a bluray disc.

1)I understand that I cannot use AnyDVDHD along side with CloneDVD2
However two things...

1)When I right click anydvd it doesn't say rip disc to hdd it say "rip Video DVD to hard disk"

2)When I select this, it pulls up the anydvd ripper dialouge however when I select my bluray it says "Drive not ready"

In settings, all of the bluray options are greyed out as well.

What am I doing wrong? I understand that once I rip it to hard drive then all I need is nero 8 to burn it a specific way to a blank disc and I should be fine from there...

The problem is, I cannot get past the first step.

Windows 7
AnyDvdHD 7.0.7.0
Samsung external BD SE-506
3 stooges (although title is irrelevant)
No log avail b/c I can't even start the process.

I have a lifetime membership I bought YEARS ago... like 2004?
I also have clonedvd but I understand that's useless for bluray.

Please help.

Here's the instructions I was following and I can't even start the 2nd step!

If you can't get item 2 like you say, sounds to me like you don't have an anydvd HD license but a classic DVD only one. And if as you say all the bluray settings are greyed out that just proves it. Just because you have a lifetime license does not mean its a lifetime HD one. You'll have to upgrade your classic license to an HD one. Then the ripper will work.

Go to the 'Information' section in AnyDVD, if your license doesn't have 'HD' on the end then you only have a standard license, you'll need to upgrade to use the HD side of AnyDVD HD
