Default Playing the m2ts file is always in a foreign language

When I try to play the main m2ts file, the audio is almost always in a foreign language, usually french. Region set to North America, Language in AnyDVD HD set to English. I was hoping AnyDVD was going to make it simple to copy BDs to my video server for SageTV. Not?

Thanks,

RJ

What are you trying to play it in? Some players (like some versions of PowerDVD) won't recognize a lossless audio stream when you play the M2TS directly, so it defaults to the second audio stream. Since the English track is usually the lossless track, it causes this problem. I suspect that's what you are running into. Try it on a Blu-ray that doesn't have a lossless English track, just to see if that's the problem.

Never play the m2ts unless you've use tsMuxeR on it.

Main M2TS file?

To check what is on a source Blu-ray disk use BDinfo software program, load the source disk into BDinfo after it has been ripped.

You can identify any part of the source Blu-ray disk with M2TS files or MPLS files and build the back-up with the M2TS or MPLS files you choose.

To build a correct back-up copy use ClownBD and load in the M2TS or MPLS files of you choice.

Default Can't get english 5.1 audio

I'm having this same problem. I have tried using tsmuxer but when I choose to demux the HD 5.1 audio track, I get nothing. The second 5.1 audio track in the list works but is just French again. This happens even if I change the language option on both tracks to english and then demux. If anyone has figured this out please help.

I read about changing the audio to HD 5.1 to AC3 but I don't know how to do it in tsmuxer. What am I missing?

I guess you are not using a commercial player capable of playing HD audio. This is detailled in the FAQs.

tsMuxeR can't convert audio formats. Use Clown_BD.
