Default VIDEO_TS.IFO: unable to open file ERROR

I have both AnyDVD-HD (ver. 7.0.6.0) and CloneDVD mobile (ver. 1.8.0.2) running on my system. I have been using CloneDVD mobile to make iPod versions with virtually zero problems and love the product. I also use the .VOB passthru feature of CDM to create a straight .VOB version for use on my home theater sysetm or computer (playing from network storage via a media player or PC).

The problem I have is that I get an error if I try to create mobile version from the CloneDVD mobile .VOB passthru files. When I try this, I get the Error ==> VIDEO_TS.IFO: unable to open file

While not a newbie at using the product, I confess that I don't know what actually makes it work, and therefore don't understand why the .VOB passthru files will play with-out problems, but CDM needs an .IFO file to get started.

I apologize if this issue has been previously addressed. I searched the forum and didn't see it (with the exception of people trying to make mobile versions of Blu-Rays). In my case, these are all standard DVDs.

This is more of an inconvenience problem and not a major issue. Sometimes I don't have immediate access to all of the original discs.

Thanks.

You need to use the original disc with it's full structure to pass it through CloneDVD Mobile, It's designed to take in a DVD and output a converted file. A VOB file on it's own is not a DVD structure, therefore it won't work.
