Default Old Software Programs Still Alive And Kicking

With all the new software programs like Cinavia and others that are trying to keep you from backing-up and playing your DVD's, its nice to see old 10 year software programs like Ripit4me, DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink once and a while still able to rip the latest standard definition and build a valid back-up.

Hats off to the old school programs some are still alive and kicking.

Just build and played a new standard definition DVD using 10 year old software programs.

just a piece of info here, cinavia is not a program it's an audio "encryption" if you can call it that. Its more of an audio signal. Its the software and/or hardware within the standalone players that detects the signal. Cinavia on its own is useless if the player doesn't detect it, we've established that already.

The older programs don't muck around with the audio, at most only do video compression AFAIK, so the cinavia "signal" gets passed on to the rip no matter what tool used to back up someone's video collection.

So really the hype of older programs backing up discs with cinavia is really a non-issue, as you said Ch3vr0n.
