Default PS3 error code 80029946

Hi, could anyone help me with this error code. I burnt a back up of One Day (for the Wife not me!) using a Verbatim dvd +R DL disc and Clone DVD2. Played back fine on laptop but not on PS3, saying cannot play disc 80029946. After looking through PS3 forums I found that the code is, trying to play an NTSC disc on a Pal machine, but the original disc plays o.k. Any help appreciated.

It's also the code you can get if it just can't read the disc, due to it being faulty or dirty

Talking It's a SONY

Strange that your UK PS3 is not multi-format. Usually you can play NTSC DVDs in your country. This is not a CloneDVD error since you got the copy and it plays on your laptop. It will probably play on a normal NTSC/PAL enabled player.
Contact SONY support.

It is. Every PAL player can playback NTSC. The problem is something different.

Default Could be, but ...

That error code is a "bucket" for some errors and the format is just one of them so you are probably right (as ever)

Yes, plays fine on my aging Pioneer DV-575A, not the first time I've had trouble with Sony equipement and dual layer discs.
Sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but must say a big thankyou to Slysoft for the excellent Anydvd and Clonedvd, money well spent. Cheers
