What advantages are had if you have a live internet connection for AnyDVD HD to get keys or codes if you are running lastest version in the forum?
I don't like having internet connection when ripping, as i do not want other programs popping up. Thanks. |

That's easy to answer, really. If you prefer not to connect to the net while ripping that will not limit you in any way until AnyDVD tells you there is a need to connect. I'd just play that by ear and if it works, fine.

I always turn off my high speed internet when not needed.
I have the cheapest very high speed internet from wildblue.net at 7.5GB per month, called excede 12, at $49. per month. Works great and very fast but limited at 7.5gb per month. One reason no video streaming, but I do like the speed. Wildblue will let you know when you reach 70% of your monthly usage, and you can check your usage yourself anytime. The internet slows down if you reach your monthly alotment at 100%.

Probably for *decrypting*, but this happens long before you even think to start a rip. (Remember, you should always *play* before even thinking to *rip*)
