CloneDVD does not unencrypt protected DVD/Blu-ray Discs

You need ANYDVD/HD for that

Again no, cloneDVD does NOT decrypt DVD's nor does it process (shrink) BD's. The up and coming product "Slyce" will be able to shrink blu-rays.

To copy (backup) DVD's you need

1) AnyDVD to remove the protections
2) CloneDVD2 to process them

If you plan on decrypting blu-ray discs (there's no such thing as a blu-ray dvd), you don't need anydvd but the HD version "AnyDVD HD". Currently slysoft does NOT have a finished product capable of processing blu-ray discs, but it's in the works. Till then you have the option of the freeware tools Clown_BD and bd-rebuilder
