I also bought mine (RED TAILS) from Amazon directly.

I've also been burned, by the way, with a vendor on Amazon selling me an inferior dvd set, that I didn't check out until it was too late to return it. (I did complain about the vendor to Amazon, though.)

I think you misunderstood, whatever_gong82 posted his logfile to show what a real disc should look like, his copy is a legit copy, not a BD-r

Thank you, Adbear.

That was my intent all along, just to help the OP out with his/her problem.

That was my intent also. The OP said he bought his disc on eBay; that alone means nothing. (I've bought legitimate discs, and even sold one, on eBay.) However, that combined with his other statements and the discrepancies in his status window indicated it wasn't legit.

Though I don't own Red Tails at all, there were several red flags I noticed even before your logfile--the excessively-detailed disc label, the posts pointing out the size discrepancy (both suggesting his copy was remastered to fit a single-layer BD-R), and of course the nature of his region issues (whoever remastered it forgot to turn on region-code removal). I looked at your logfile as an example of a legit copy; comparing the status windows (as you did in your reply) only confirmed my suspicions.

Yep RBBrittain, the OP got ripped off alright.

I would suggest to the OP what you told him to do yesterday: complain to eBay about the seller and the bootleg, and try to buy that movie at a reputable place, and even then, make sure the blu ray disc is legit.

The OP didn't post a single logfile from a real disc, but from a virtual drive.
You are all beating a dead horse.

True, though what he DID post was NOT a full logfile; but if the ISO had come directly from an original disc it would have had the same disc label & size as the original. As far as the rest, let's just say it's safer to assume he got gypped than make any wild accusations. Case closed...

I just hope that he (the OP) didn't get ripped off in the slightest.

Yep, you gotta be careful with bargains from eBay. The sellers are of course not all criminals but the chances of getting conned are higher than many realize. Since the original user is "gone" let's call this a wrap.
