Yes you need to go to the control panel then the add/remove programs to remove that.

Thank you 1. As Charlie noted, you have some packet writing junk on your system that needs to be removed. Roxio/Sonic's Drag-to-disc or Directcd should definitely be uninstalled. Packet writing software interferes with a lot of other software, not just Slysoft's If you need drag-and-drop functionality, use dvd-ram instead (with a FAT file format), which is more stable. i) Create a backup of your registry ii) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download (it's also an excellent program imo) iii) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Select "Cdralw2k". Click "Remove Selected Filter. Select "pwd_2k ". Click "remove selected filter". Click "ok". iv) Reboot 2. Visit your burner's website, and update your burner's firmware if possible. If you don't know how to go about doing this, visit http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.ph...4&postcount=10 3. State the full a)error message(s) you encountered (click "details"), b)tell us what program(s) you were using when you received the error message(s), and c) describe in detail what you were doing when you received the error message(s). What problem are you having exactly? 4. Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program. With Anydvd running in the background, select the tab labeled "scandisc". Select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". If Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors, your disc is (probably) bad and needs to be exchanged--even if it plays fine (or your optical drive could be slowly dying).

Sorry about that! continued on where i had bookmarked the same/similar problem i was having, but as you said nothing to say it is the same problem being experienced by different people...didn't think of that! but yeah, using windows xp, nero 7 essentials, anydvd and dvd shrink. i have copied your instructions for removing drag and drop, gonna check that out, so thanks a bunch! as for the vid, well hell the whole purpose to back up an owned vid, it was a rent so i opened the one i bought to send to my son in iraq, thus my endeavors....no prob with that one. worked like normal, sorry again and thanks!
