Default Cant rip Bank Job blu ray to hard disk!

Hi,
I've been ripping a fair few blu rays to my hard disk recently (thank you lovefilm), but tonight I've encountered a problem.

I attempted to rip 'the bank job' blu ray, but was informed that anydvd could not decrypt the disk.

I find this really strange because I am using anydvd HD version 6 4 5 0. (the latest version I believe)

I know its the disk at fault because I ripped another film immediatly before trying to rip this one. Is there some new copy protection on this disk? (its a fairly new release).

Anybodys thoughts on this would be really appreciated.

Jamie

Update to AnyDVD HD 6.4.5.2 beta: http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6452.exe

Post logs for The Bank Job:
  1. Ensure AnyDVD is running.
  2. Put the problematic original movie DVD in your burner. Wait for AnyDVD to scan the disc.
  3. Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
  4. Select "Create Logfile".
  5. Wait for AnyDVD to create a log file.
  6. A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where AnyDVD created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "OK".
  7. Go to your "My Documents" folder.
  8. You will see a ZIP file called "AnyDVD_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f).
  9. When replying or posting in the SlySoft forums, look for the icon that looks like (in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread).
  10. If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
  11. A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't, please ensure your browser is configured to allow pop-ups from the SlySoft forum).
  12. Click the "Browse" button and locate and select the ZIP file you created.
  13. Click "upload".
  14. Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the ZIP file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at.

what leads you to this conclusion?

@jamienufc imagine everybody would simply say "it does not work". when do people finally learn to be more a bit more precise. i would really like to help you but if there is absolutely no clue where to start it's futile. so i could just assume that your computer fell from the table after the first disk

Lovefilm is a UK based DVD and Blue Ray rental service like NetFlix...

Technically I dont own the films, but I do a pay a subscription to lovefilm so I see it as more of a grey area.

I will try the beta and post back with my results.

Thanks for your posts so far,

Jamie

Not a grey area. Your subscription fee is for a rental agreement, as in borrowing the movie for a limited time, that's it. Don't make me bust out some lame analogy involving hotels or rental cars.

It sounds like the key here is - if you are doing something you should not, lie!

Which really translates to - don't put the hosts of this message board, or Slysoft, into an awkward position.

As for the issue with the movie - not much anyone can do until you let us know about the beta. If it does not work, I am sure everyone hopes you will include the log file with your message.

Let the Moderators moderate, folks.

I suggest people refer here: http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.ph...09&postcount=6.

Personally, I will not assist anyone in dealing with the copying of rentals [or discs they do not own] and didn't initially realize that this was a rental disc. Someone else may assist the OP if they wish. If you have a problem with this then simply do not post at all.

In short, while I may agree with some of the sentiments expressed, stop attacking the OP. Further such posts of this nature will be removed. Consider everyone warned.
