ImgBurn isn't making an image as DVD/BD whatever, the ISO is always the same. The difference comes from mounting ISO's of different sizes (controlled by DT) or by the mounting of an MDS where the disc type is specified within it.

@supergoof

Glad you got it sorted

Where is the setting in ImgBurn to make the MDS file label the iso as DVD-ROM?

locoeng just referred me to this thread to save him acting as the middle man!

The 'Create DVD MDS File' feature always makes MDS files where DT will emulate a DVD-ROM disc. So basically you don't need to do anything, it just works.

Thanks LIGHTNING UK! for all your hard work.

So your saying that with our already created ISO's, that we just need to load up IMGBURN and do the "Create DVD MDS File" from a previously created ISO? Then when we run DT it thinks the BR ISO is a DVD and will run ok? That is awesome. I have been pulling out my hair trying to get BR ISO's to work with PDVD on my laptop that I had to rebuild. They used to work ok before and I couldn't figure out what I did to break things. Good to know it was DT. Seems like all the software companies are out to get us. Nice to know there are some good guys like Slysoft and LIGHTNING UK! that are looking out for us little guys who want to enjoy the HTPC experience.

I have this problem too,not being able to play blue-ray once ripped unless I leave copy protection. I'm using Windvd9. HDdvd are no problem so far. Try doing the .MDS thing still no go, not sure what I might be doing wrong. I've tried both daemon tools and Virtual clonedrive. I've used Imageburn to create .MDS file once the iso has been created with anydvdHD. The .MDS file ony ends up being a few k's big, is that correct or should it be the same as the original ISO file? Any ideas? Thanks

Please wait for a DT Update and/or use Virtual CloneDrive.

You have to remove DT and the SPTD that it installs as well otherwise you'll keep getting the errors
