Question Jump directly to movie???

I have Any DVD set to JUMP DIRECTLY TO MOVIE, removing the title menu and annoying ads and trailers. This used to work just fine and my DVD would play the movie immediately. Lately it has begun going to the title menu; then I have to press PLAY. This is annoying for me, and impossible for my stroke-victim mother. I have tried resetting my preferences, but nothing seems to work. I still get the title menu.

I am running windows XP, any DVD version 6.4.3.2.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!

First, there's a rather large warning message that's shown when you activate "remove annoying adverts and trailers". I recommend you read that message fully. Essentially, that feature doesn't work properly with all dvds and may even make some movies unplayable.

Secondly, you're using an outdated version of Anydvd. Update

1. Use Anydvd 6.4.5.5: click http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD6455.exe

You may need to reboot after installing if prompted to do so.

2. Click the red fox icon on your toolbar. Click "default". Click "ok".

If the bonus features aren't necessary then I'd suggest just doing a movie only rip where you don't even include the menus. That way the movie starts right when you pop the disc in the DVD player.

There are other methods to get the movie to automatically start and skip the title menu but they can be complicated and require third-party programs.

Same thing I do for my elderly mother... just give her a movie *only* DVD to pop in the drawer.

Thanks for all of your help. I don't know why I never thought of copying "movie only". But this is exactly what I'll do. Thanks for your suggestions!
