Default Hard Drive racing

Not a big problem so far, but when I have AnyDVD running on my computer, the Hard Drive periodically starts racing loudly.

I am currently trying it out on two identical HP 64 bit computers with quad core processors and 6 GB of RAM. The racing sound only occurs on one of them (the one I want to keep the program on)

When I uninstalled it, it stopped then started again when I reinstalled it. I don't know if it's going to cause a problem later on so I thought I'd ask before I bought it for one of the computers.

For reference, I'm using Hand Brake.

Anydvd doesn't scan hard drives, so what you're writing seems coincidental to me. I have Vista 64 bit Ultimate running on two different quad core computers both with 8 gigs of RAM. I can't reproduce what you're experiencing. Anydvd has no affect on hard drive access; it doesn't scan nor poll hard drives. If Anydvd were the cause of your problem, it seems reasonable to me the problem would be occurring on both of your "identical" computers.

Default Just thought I'd check

I did a chdsk which took several hours to complete. It didn't find anything and since, the racing hasn't returned.

Anyway, we love the program and will probably purchase it for the computer in the next day or so.
