Coping the DVD to my drive works ok, CloneDVD mobile works fine also. Although as soon as I try to make a copy to a blank DVD it always fails. Doesn't matter what king of media I use. I have been using AnyDVD, CloneDVD for years and never had an issue until about a month ago this started happening. Here is the basic info. Please let me know if any other info is needed. Thanks

1. Use Anydvd 6.4.7.0 beta: click http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6470.exe
You may need to reboot after installing if prompted to do so. 2. Click the red fox icon on your toolbar. Click "default". Click "ok". click http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=3992 and read fully You don't need to do this if you own Clonedvd or are planning to make a backup with Clonecd. Quote:
But also note this is 16x rated blank media Quote:

Here's your problem: you're using 16x rated blank media (and junk blank media at that) with an ancient 4x rated burner. The burner's firmware may not have been updated to support higher rated blank media, and there's no point really as the drive is too old to support faster rated blank media. It's pretty hard to find single layer 4x blank media now. At most, you should be using 8x rate blank media with that specific drive, and it would probably be easier to simply get a new burner. They don't cost much. Do yourself a favor, and if you're in the U.S., get some 8x Taiyo Yuden (not Trublue or Valuline, and probably not Linkyo either): visit www.supermediastore.com 3. Stop using junk blank media. Use good quality blank media. Try Verbatim Datalife Plus, Maxell Broadcast Quality, Maxell Plus series, Taiyo Yuden (not Valueline or Trublu), etc (not Memorex, not generic Maxell, not Princo, not TDK from Costco, not Fuji, and not Ritek). If you use junk blank media then you should expect problems. 4. Again, it would be wise to get a new burner: visit http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=767 5. Follow the steps from this link in order: click http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 (follow them step by step)

Yea this drive is incredibly old. I think I bought it back in 02 or 03. It has served me pretty well and I was holding off in order to get a blu-ray burner but it looks like it has served its course and its time to shell out the change for another burner. Thanks for looking into that post Webslinger. Till we meet again!
