Default What is the best reliable DVD burner?

My NEC 3550A is not reading properly and needs to be replaced. What is the most reliable and affordable DVD burner out their? And would it be cheaper to buy local or online (where)?

I would try a firmware update from Liggy's and Dee's for the NEC. If that doesn't work I'd get a Lite-On from Newegg....SATA-$21.99-free shipping
