How did you rip it?

More important: how did you play it?

There is nothing to Fix - this has nothing to do with the decryption process.

Agreed.

What I'm wondering is if this is a case of someone ripping to an .m2ts file and then trying to play it in say PowerDVD which we all know leads to audio issues. This is why I asked what was used for ripping (ie tsMuxeR).

Anydvd HD doesn't touch audio.

Moving thread to the Third Party Products forum . . .

... and yet people with a problem are providing little to no information as to how they are ripping the disc so no one can really give an explanation.

How are you ripping the disc? What software is being used? What is the method used? Have log files been posted?

None of these points have been addressed.

I'm assuming that they're trying to just play the m2ts file which we all know doesn't work as it can't play back the HD audio file except as a full disc. I've now had both US releases and the German release and all work fine if played as a full disc with menu's

I agree and stated that above.

Thanks for the information. We already are convinced this isn't an AnyDVD HD issue and right now the burden to prove a problem exists and where is on the people having a problem. If there is a problem somewhere they sure won't find a resolution without providing the necessary information for people to help them.

The ball is in their court.

From what i've read you can play an original m2ts file with hd audio with a directshow player if you setup the directshow chain correctly. You would need the splitter, audio and video codecs from a commercial player like powerdvd or tmt and set the merits properly. There's a thread about it on avsforum.
