Default Iron Man Rip Problem

1) Using 6.4.7.6 AnyDVD
2) I have attached the log file and 2 pictures (one of the error, the other of what processes were running)
3) Attached as error.jpg
5) No packet writing software, I think. I have Nero OEM, but I have uninstalled it since and get the same error.
7) Iron Man, Movie Disc, Region 1 and 4?
Samsung SH-S203B with latest firmware dated Jan 2008 *not sure why the smiley is there for 8... <g>

Used all the default settings in AnyDVD, "Rip Video to Harddisk", error occurs at 3%.

This is the second disc this happened, I returned the first...

Cool Straight-forward error

Hi

No need to look further into this one. That error is a permanent read error and the DVD is probably badly mastered if it's new or is otherwise damaged.

See this for some companion information and if this is a new purchase take it and the results from the link below back to the store:

Your disc isn't the same release, Rodster. Yours is only Region 4 whereas gqmracex7 has a Region 1 & 4 release with more protection than yours.

Yep forgot to mention that, thanks for picking that out, glad im Down Under then. I honestly dont see why they whack more protection on Region 1 when it can be beaten anyway, waste of effort in my eyes.

The US release didn't have much protection in the grand scheme of things but less than yours. I've given up trying to understand the the logic of the Studios.

Glad none of my laptops have Panasonic drives which have RPC region firmware locking on them - they are real buggers those things.
