I've just upgraded to CCC 8.10 for my AGP ASUS AH3850.
According to GPU-Z my default GPU is 725mhz and actual is 722mhz. I can use ATI Overdrive to overclock, or underclock and I see these values in GPU-Z no problem. However, as soon as I start PowerDVD 7.3 the GPU goes in what I assume Cyberlink would call 'movie mode' and sinks down to 594mhz (probably to stop a noisy fan). This is independant of whether I select hardware acceleration AVIVO or not. My GFX card is passively cooled, so I don't have a fan to slow down. So I'm happy to have the GPU frequency at the value I decide. However, I'm really not sure how to acheive this (if at all). Does anyone else experience this ? any tips on a work-around ? Thanks. Mike. |

I tried both PowerDVD 8.1803 and 8.2217 with exactly the same results as V7.3319a ...
Any ideas ? Mike |

I changed to an HIS HD3850 running at 725mhz with CCC 8.10, and PowerDVD 9.2217U did not set the GPU lower.
It must be a 'problem' unique to the AH3650 as nobody else reported seeing this problem. Mike. |
