Question Virtual CloneDrive for Vista x64

Hello! Man this is a HUGE forum!

I tried to search but did not find... sorry if this is a repost of an old question!

I want to run Virtual CloneDrive on my Vista x64 system. The download page http://www.slysoft.com/sv/virtual-clonedrive.html says 'yes' but the installer says 'no'!

Help! ;~)

Cheers,

M.

Latest versions run just fine under Vista 64bit.

Thank you for you quick reply! I just downloaded Virtual CloneDrive 5.4.1.1 and it did not run under Vista 64 bit. That's why I posted!

What else can be wrong?

Magnus

I have VCD 5.4.1.1 running on (2) Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 systems just fine. Did the installer give you any error messages? Please provide more specific information about your system, how you attempted to install it, if you have any other ISO mounting software or did, etc.

I also have 2 machines with vista 64 loaded with VCD. Please provide more details and/or screen shots of the error.

Red face

Even though I am glad it suddenly unexplainably worked - I am still sorry that I cried wolf (or in this case fox or sheep)!

Works as a charm now!

Cheers,

M.

first thing that springs to my mind is installing account permissions, even with admin rights, there can be account restrictions in vista, did you by any chance change any of those settings between attempts or install from a different account ?

(i know this thread is someone dead as the OP's problem seems solved, but there are no answers for those searching similar problems)
