Hi guys, first post and sorry for the newbie question but I have searched for this answer on the forum and in Google.
My brother has backed up his Blu-Ray disks to IOS file using AnyDVD HD and we are wondering if the IOS file can be played on my PS3 by either streaming to the PS3 or copying the IOS file to the internal hard disk? If I need to buy a Blu-Ray burner to burn the IOS files I will - I have an hd camcorder so I was thinking of buying one anyway. Many thanks. Kev |

First off, it's an ISO file. Second, no, the PS3 is not able to play ISOs. You will need to stream the m2ts file (with varying success depending on what codec was used) or burn the ISO to a blank BD-R/E disc. The discs aren't cheap which is why most of us either back up to a large hard drive on an HTPC and/or use a couple BD-RE's so we can rewrite them.
