Default issue with final .m2ts playback in PDVD 8.2217

Hi all,
I am having some problem with backing up my first blu ray DVD. Using AnyDVD 9.4.0, I managed to rip the whole DVD into HD, with only enable bluray support and remove BD+ checked. Using PDVD built 8.0.2217.50, I can successfully play any .m2ts in BDMV/STREAM directory. Now the problem is when I use either of tsMUX or tsRemux for remixing to smaller size. I select mpls and m2ts in txMuxer. Now if I only check the main movie track and DTSHD audio track and then selecting create bluray disk, the resulting .m2ts file will not play with PDVD and locks with blank screen, Now if I use same mpls and .m2ts with no un checking, leave it as it is, with many audio tracks and subs. The resulting .m2ts in STREAM dir works fine using PDVD. Any idea? I have not tried to burn it for stand alone DVV player yet, but that’s my goal.
Thanks a lot for help

I suspect it'll be something to do with the audio. You do know that PDVD doesn't support HD audio unless it's played back as a full Blu-ray disc

Hi Adbear,
Thanks for reply, so what you are saying because of DTS HD being the audio track it just refuse to play anything, that make sense, except when I have the original blu ray dvd and use the PDVD, I could manage to change audio to DTS HD and then press play and it does play it fine. I guess what you are saying if I use PDVD to just play .m2ts no DTS audio, but if I use PDVD to play the whole disk then it can play any audio. If that’s the case, then if I burn my blu ray and using a stand alone player I should be OK. Correct?
Thanks again

Yes and Yes

You can also make an ISO of the disk and mount it with Virtual Clone Drive and then the HD audio works. Look through the stickies on making ISO's and backing up BD's

You guys rock big time, I made my first blu-ray DVD and was a success with PDVD, now the next step is playing it with my newly arrived Panny BD35K
Thanks so much for all your help in this forum.

P.S.
I did used both tsRemux and tsMux for size reduction, and in both case result was great. Do you guys have any preference between these two?

Hmmm. I have just read the bad news! The Panasonic brand player BD35 and BD55 will not show any home brew BD-R or BD-RE disk. I just received mine from Amazon, if that’s true I have to send it back then. The spec on the manual says it should play BD-Video, BD-R and BD-RE as follow:

This chart shows the different type of discs recorded with other devices that you can use. This mark means you must finalize the disc with the DVD recorder, etc. before playback. For details about finalizing, refer to the operating instructions for your equipment.

Type of media Logo Features Indicated as
BD-Video This format supports High Definition video and audio content including: ≥BD-Live (BD-ROM version 2 Profile 2). This format provides interactive features when this player is connected to the Internet via a broadband connection.
≥BONUSVIEW allows virtual packages or picture-in-picture functions to be viewed.
[BD-V]

Type of media Logo Formats Indicated as
BD-RE ≥Version 3 of the BD-RE Recording Format
≥JPEG format
[BD-V]
[JPEG]
BD-R ≥Version 2 of the BD-R Recording Format [BD-V]
