Default CD/DVD Writers Compatible with CloneCD?

Before I give CloneCD a try I am curious as to whether there is a list of compatible CD/DVD writers that CloneCD is known to work with. Or, barring that, is there a list of writers that CloneCD is definitely not compatible with?

I ask only because I have read a few posts that mention that CloneCD will only work with certain writers and then only with the most current firmware.

BTW, my desktop computer currently has a SONY DVD RW DRU-820A Writer with current firmware installed. I also have another box but it has an old HP CD/DVD Writer in it - I don’t know that this one would work with it at all.

Thanks!

Jim

CloneCD works with all DVD drives. The issue you are referring to has to do with the automatic bitsetting that was added which impacted burning in some cases. Some drives had issues and a replacement WriteDVD.dll (http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=22426) was released to resolve the problem.

I suggest installing the software and trying it. You have a 21 day trial.

Great! Thanks for that info. I guess I was looking at older information.

I'll give it a go then.

Thanks!
