Hi!
I read somewhere here in this forums, that if you save your blurays as encrypted ISOs, you need to do this on a machine, where AnyDVD is at least running (not activated), otherwise the ISO later can´t be decrypted. So my situation: I drive by at a DVD/BluRay rental store on my way to work. I could borrow from there and bring them back after work. But I cannot install AnyDVD there. No problem is reading there, store the ISO to an external Harddisk and decrypt at home. So, does this really not work? Is there a workaround? Bye |

Who does say this?
As far as i know you absolutely do not need AnyDVD for just reading the disk.

If the system is not HDCP Compliant he'd need AnyDVD HD to play it. Yes?

Like Tox above said, I don't think that's true at all... never heard of that. You might have misinterpreted someone's comment, or the person who said it just doesn't know better.

Anyway, a deactivated AnyDVD is like a non-running AnyDVD, so where should be the point in letting it run deactivated.

But isnt it like that, that AnyDVD, when first inserted a protected disc, not inserted before, contacts the slysoft server for getting information on how to be decrypted?
So with an ISO, possibly this information is not there anymore. Bye |

You can make an ISO without anyDVD running to keep the encryption in the ISO the use AnyDVD to remove it when you mount the ISO. There is no problem there.
It is best to always insert the disk with AnyDVD running and let it scan it then disable/quit AnyDVD and make your protected ISO. That way the disk data is sent to the database and cached on your local machine.

You are correct if talking about the regular procedure for decrypting, like software players do. But AnyDVD works in a different way and all it needs is the pure track data (what people call "ISO"). The information you are talking about is saved in AnyDVD, not the image. Anyway there wouldn't be a place in an ISO file to store it.
