thxz for your reply. I ve you read my post carefully I said that when I play my original Blu-Ray disc the D-Box receives the lossy signal fine via the optical output of the Dune to the optical input of the D-Box decoder. So this assumes that there is sound in this optical signal (or otherwise my D-Box decoder would not be able to sync). To but sure I just checked and I used a optical input of my AVR. Indeed, there is sound (mt AVR also reports Dolby Digital so that s ok).

But this morning it got even more stranger:

I ripped a movie with ClownBD and tested if there was sound going over the optical output of the Dune player. I thought that there would be no sound because my D-Box decoder is not syncing so this would mean no core signal over the optical output of the Dune to the optical input of my D-Box decoder. So I used the optical input of my AVR and to my surprise I got Dolby Digital sound!

So there still is something that is done by ClownBD to the sound but I really don t have a clue what.

Just so you know: The D-Box decoder needs an UNALTERED (and I think there is a problem somewhere in the ripping process) core signal to be able to sync.

Hi, i am wondering if there is a way to shrink a blu-ray with two movies on the disc ? So the result should be an iso with a selection of part 1 or 2, but only the two main movies maybe with menu for selection. I have a blu- ray movie, two discs on each two parts.

Hello mike_r,

I'd like to thank you again for this most awesome program. Congratulations! It's fantastic

I've done several back-ups, mostly using bach mode to customize the subtitles by moving them into the frame with BDsup2sub.

But I'm really lousy with command prompt and what I'd appreciate some help with is how to edit the bat file to add a subtitle and/or an audio track. I already have them backed up from my region B disc, but I'd like to add them to the back-up of my region A disc of the same title (since it has a better video encode and other language tracks I also want).

I've read the other topic concerning Clown_Subtitles (another great software) but I couldn't figure out exactly how to add the sub that was not originally in the movie.

Thank you very much, any help from you or other forum members will be much appreciated.

I often use cutting function with tsmuxer (--cut-start and --cut-end) to fit main movie on BD-25
I noticed that with some movies --cut-end does not work like expected. I mean, if I set for example --cut-end=60s, it will cut a lot more than 60s.
any hints?

Mike - would you consider a config change where the Subs in the forced sub streams are marked by BDSup2Sub as such. At present I have to extract the sub stream, then push them through BDSup2Sub and have them marked as "forced" then remux them back in. The reason for this is LAVSplitter can create a custom on the fly "forced" subs stream based on PGS subs that are marked as forced....if that makes sense! I can post examples and screen shots with a better explanation if needed.
Thanks
Nathan

I've not tried the command line but according to the doco:

Quote:
Forced subtitles
/forceall[+/-]

set/clear forced flag for all subs - default: off (keep)

Another thing I have noticed (testing my HD-DVD conversions) is that with DD+ tracks that are marked for no conversion the current process is to:
1) Convert them to WAV, then
2) Convert them to W64 (as they are over 4GB).

Is there any reason not to just use the W64 option upfront and save the second conversion as I've never seen a WAV audio track under 4GB for a movie and even if so would it matter if W64 was the default anyway regardless of size?

There is a specific reason for this, but I can't remember what it is. Someone requested it due to experiencing problems.

Update

See here for the why.

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...61#post1294761

It's possible that this was fixed in eac3to, but I don't know for sure.

Quote:
v3.21
* fixed: big w64/rf64 files sometimes had incorrect header information
* fixed: HD DVD chapter times were wrong by 3.6 seconds per hour
* fixed: 6.1 DTS decoding with ArcSoft resulted in wrong channel order
* fixed: 6.1 TrueHD decoding with libav resulted in wrong channel order
* fixed: reducing bitdepth of clipped audio produced too much bitdepth
* when clipping is automatically fixed, the applied dB gain is logged
* when normalizing an audio track, the applied dB gain is logged

I'd recommend trying in batch mode and changing this line:

Code:
echo Call BDSup2Sub Subtitles (FORCED)
"%PathToCBD%" "Prepare_BDSup2Sub" "%PathToJAVA%" "%PathToDMX%" "_FORCED.sup" "" "/forced /res:1080"
to

Code:
echo Call BDSup2Sub Subtitles (FORCED)
"%PathToCBD%" "Prepare_BDSup2Sub" "%PathToJAVA%" "%PathToDMX%" "_FORCED.sup" "" "/forced /forceall /res:1080"
and see how it works.
