Default [Resolved: Update Avast] AnyDVDHD v6.5.4.0 Avast says it contains Trojan

Just grabbed the latest AnyDVDHD 6.5.4.0 just now and when I went to install Avast AV says it contains Win32Beagle-AID [Trj]. This a false positive?

This is using Avast AV for WHS btw.

Then tell Avast to fix their buggy program.

There's no trojan if you download directly from Slysoft's website.

Avast, by the way, has historically triggered lots of false positives:

I had the same issue, but even when I ignored it, I can't launch anydvd now. AARGH, are you able to launch the new version?

Maybe it's time to switch to something better, like Eset's Nod32: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=29233

Default Avast reports Trojan for 6.5.4.0

I downloaded AnyDVD 6.5.4.0 (directly from slysoft.com). When I tried to install it, Avast (4.8.1335, database up-to-date) reported a Trojan (Win32:Beagle-AID) in AnyDVDtray.exe (from ...\AppData\Local\Temp\nstBA59.tmp).

I assume that's a false positive, but I still wanted to report it here before proceeding with the installation.

A simple answer would have sufficed, don't care to be in flame war over A/V software.

For the record this is first f/p I have gotten from Avast, and I always download directly from Slysoft.

Thanks,

AARGH

It's not a flame war. It's a verifiable fact. AV-Compartives testing indicates Avast triggers many false positives.

Time to report the false positive to Avast then.

Nod32 isn't free

I just shut down Avast, started AnyDVD, started Avast again and all is well. Also reported the false positive.

Nope. Sure ain't

But it's pretty good (unless you use Trillian, according to SamuriHL . . . currently there's some sort of issue)
