Hi all,
I am just getting around to purchasing all of my equipment to back up my bd collection. I bought a LG GGW-H20L so I could buy some HDDVD while they last also. I just installed PowerDVD and upgraded all the way to 5105. Should I have kept it at 4617? I have been reading all the posts about Cyberlink trying to basically block Slysoft programs. I have not tried to use this program yet but was just wondering if I should go "back" to 4617 and if I do how would I accpomplish this? Thanks. |

I would say yes go back to 4617. Just uninstall then apply the 4617 patch.

Yes, the original 4617 build and not the 4617a build.

I purchased the same drive and installed the included software. After playing Power DVD 7 Ultra I receive a message stating that I needed an important upgrade. I clicked yes and installed the upgrade. When I check the version of the software, it says 7.3.
How do I tell which upgrade version I installed? |

When you click the "About" tab at the top, near the middle of the screen your name that the program is registered under will be there, just click that name and the info will show. Also, thanks for the answers.....

Thanks. It turns out that I do have 5105 and will uninstall and reinstall. Then see how it goes.

One other question: Where do I find the 4617 patch mentioned above?

I found the right download on the Cyberlink site.
