Hi,
I've got problem reading the DivX I create with CloneDVDMobimle 1.2.0.1 on my new DVD player DVD-1080P9. I can read files that are converted with DivX 7.0 but not with CloneDVDMobile. Did anyone encounter the same problem? I also asked the same question directly to Samsung. I can read the files on a Philips DVD portable but not on my Samsung. Both DVD players are supposed to read DivX format. Is the codec used by DivX 7.0 (the software) different from the one of CloneDVDmobile? My Samsung player is able to "see" the files on the DVD. It shows all avi files, jpg files etc... but when I try to play the files (avi only, as it works fr jpg), the screen stays black (just a white "loading..." for a few seconds) and it looks like the disk was read is fastforward (I can't see any image on the screen but the time display on the DVD is running fast). Thanks for your help. Last edited by gofgof; 4th August 2009 at 06:05. Reason: more explaination |

This sounds very familiar. I have a Lacie Lacinema which also supposedly plays Divx videos, but won't play any that CloneDVDMobile creates. The latest word from their tech support was "Get yourself the current version of DivX, which is 7 I believe. Then set to the home theater profile. This should ensure the container is valid."
So how about it, SlySoft: tell us how to make a DivX 7 video. |

Just to test, I bought DivX 7. Then I took a 6+ GB VOB of Star Wars, ran it through the DivX 7 converter, and surprise, surprise, it plays perfectly.
Here I've been abusing a poor Lacie tech support guy, when it's really CloneDVD mobile's problem. Edit: Checking with Gspot, It looks like the CloneDVD mobile uses the DIVX codec, while DivX 7 uses something called DX50. Last edited by rj1; 5th August 2009 at 09:24. |

Ok I see. However, the burned DVD with my Generic files created by CloneDVDmobile are perfectly played on my Philips DVD portable player.
But thank you for the info. Anyone else knows a patch or something to correct the problem??? |

Your problem is with the Samsung player not conforming to the Divx standard. |

[QUOTE = gofgof; 211702] Salut,
