Default Aspect Ratio

I just copied my first DVD using CloneDVD mobile. Does anyone know how to change the aspect ratio? I think it's saving in wide screen as opposed to full screen.

Can anyone help me on this

under the zoom settings option on the last stage before converting you can drop down a menu to give you choices of picture zoom.

First of all: What is the aspect ratio of the device on which you intend to play the resulting video file? 4:3 (Archos 404) or 16:9 (Archos 504 is actually 30:17!) or something else?
Edit the Devices.ini file and locate a suitable profile. (If your device isn't listed you can copy one that's similar and paste it in as a new profile.)

I created this one for my Archos 504 as CloneDVDMobile doesn't have it listed by default

[Archos 504]
ScreenRatio=30:17
Manufacturer=Archos
Res1=320x240
Res2=362x272
Res3=480x360
Res4=640x480
Res5=720x540
ResAna1=320x180
ResAna2=480x272
ResAna3=640x360
ResAna4=720x407
ResAna5=852x480
AllowNativeTVResolution=1
VCodec=mpeg4
lavcopts=vcodec=mpeg4:acodec=mp3
VTag=DIVX
Acodec=mp3
ARate=48000
ABRate=96
MVolume=20
Format=avi -noodml
FileType=avi
Quality=30
useMencoder=1
SubTitle=1
MaxVBitrate=3000

CloneDVDMobile will then fit the DVD video into the correct size frame.
With the screen ratio set to 16:9 (or 30:17) I found that the Zoom options are removed. I only have the cinemascope checkbox available

Note that if the source film is shot in 2.35:1 ration you will get the black bars top and bottom. Cinemascope Zoom removes the black bars

Is the 504 using the same screen as a 604? I just purchased a 604 and the screen resolution appears to be 16:9.06 (480x272). Or are you talking about the physical measured aspect ratio?

I am refering to the screen pixel WidthxHeight ratio: 480x272 works out at 30:17, whether this minor difference makes any difference to CloneDVDMobile I don't know.

Oops, I guess the math wasn't that obvious to me.
