Default Source data too large

I'm pretty sure this is an AnyDVD problem and not CloneDVD as I was recently able to backup my movies with the latest CloneDVD 2.9.2.6, but recently...not sure exactly which AnyDVD version I updated from that I've been unable to backup any movies to DVD5 or DVD+R DL but I tried going back to 6.9.6.0 and still failed (yes, I reset the computer after each installation).

I rip all my movies via AnyDVD to my portable WD MyBook 1TB hard drives and just take the HDD with me to work and leave the movies at home. I know it's recommended to use CloneDVD to do the ripping, but I prefer AnyDVD because if I like the movie then I just burn it from my HDD at work instead of waiting to get home and use the original. More convenient for me to have 150+ movie library on the go to watch whatever whenever as I'm always in the mood for different things and like to watch the same movie twice in the same week sometimes...but my reasoning of why I prefer to rip by AnyDVD over CloneDVD is of no importance. I like to watch the trailers btw.

Anyway, I just purchased Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Widescreen single disc DVD UPC 085391200390 ISBN 1419864173. I'm unable to finish watching the movie at work and want to watch it at home, but the past year or so my DVD player will not loop the DVD when I try to repeat Title. I have to repeat A-B. So the movies I do like to watch and fall asleep to I burn.

I tried to burn Harry Potter onto a DVD5 and it stated source data too large. Movie is 2:33:19. I figured maybe it might be a problem like with The Dark Knight, but I already have all extra audio and no subtitles disabled. So I tried to burn a DVD+R DL and I still came across the same error. This frustrated me. Use CloneDVD to backup from DVD to DVD...again, same error.

WriteDVD 14 W2

Trying to burn other movies I have on my hard drive that have had no problems will not burn anymore.

The The Dark Knight issue was resolved. CloneDVD is saying that the target size is sufficient.

I don't believe the problem is an issue with AnyDVD. Just out of curiosity, what brand blank media are you using? I'm also a bit confused about the drive you are using. It shows up as an NEC NR-7800A. I've seen that drive listed as a CD-RW and a DVD-ROM drive but not as a DVD burner.

I know The Dark Knight was resolved...was just using it as an example.

Verbatim DVD+R DL made in Singapore.

Reader is NEC.

Burner is Sony DRX-830U external USB.

Been using this setup for quite some time now.

Been usingCloneDVD 2.9.2.6 with no problems since the beta release. I only encountered this problem after the last or last few updates with AnyDVD. No other programs were installed lately either.

This statement alone - indicates to me it's not an AnyDVD issue at all.

Ive reset my computer several times, but my last attempt when rebooting came up as Windows recovering from a serious error. But it didn't reboot on it's own as I manually did it. Then I received a webpage displayed stating:

Troubleshoot a problem with a device driver

You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused Windows to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.
Steps to address this problem

Go online to check for updated drivers on the Windows Update website

1.

Click to go online to the Windows Update websiteClick to go online to the Windows Update website

Note
If Microsoft Update is installed, you'll be taken to the Microsoft Update website.
2.

Click Custom to check for available updates.
3.

In the left pane, under Select by Type, click Hardware, Optional. Select the updates for a device driver, click Review and install updates, and then click Install Updates.

Steps to work around this problem

Warning
These steps are designed to address a particular problem but might do so by temporarily disabling or removing some functionality on your computer.

*

If this problem occurred after you installed a new hardware device on your computer, the problem might be caused by the device driver. Go online to learn how to use the Dell Driver Reset Tool or uninstall the driver.

How do I disable or uninstall a device driver?
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. If you are using Classic View, click Switch to Category View.
2. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
3. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
4. Click the plus sign (+) next to the faulting device. You should now see the device listed.
5. Right-click the device, and then click Disable or Uninstall.
*

If this problem occurred after you installed new software, the software might have installed a driver that caused the problem. Try uninstalling the software.

How do I uninstall a program?

1.

Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
2.

Click Change or Remove Programs, click the program you want to remove, and then click Change/Remove or Remove.

Note
If the program that you want to uninstall isn't listed, it might not have been written for this version of Windows. To uninstall the program, check the information that came with the program.

*

If you don't know the specific driver or software, go online to learn more about performing a System Restore.
* For information about your support options, go online to the Support.Dell.Com website.

I restarted CloneDVD and for some odd reason, for which I can not understand, it's working! Sorry to waste your time guys, but I appreciate the help.

It didn't state. I copied the window and pasted in the information above. I was trying to figure that out myself.
