Newb question here.
Win7 x64 Radeon HD 2400 Powerdvd 9 Lite-on blu-ray drive When AnyDVD HD is running in real-time, I've noticed that when loading a blu-ray in Powerdvd that it always runs in overlay mode, and my Aero desktop is disabled. However, if I go to the blu-ray drive and open the BDMV/STREAM/ folder I can open individual mpeg files in powerdvd and overlay isn't triggered, and Aero is preserved. Now, I don't care about Aero, but I would like to apply desktop gamma correction to blu-ray video. Unfortunately, any time overlay is used, desktop gamma has no effect. If overlay is not used, then desktop gamma will change blu-ray gamma as well. So is there another way of running anydvd in real-time and opening a blu-ray disc without triggering overlay? Thanks! Playing a file is different to playing a disc structure, it has nothing to do with AnyDVD HD, it's all to do with PDVD and as far as I'm aware there's no way round this

That's what I was afraid of. I have been using VLC today to open the bdmv folder and it runs fine for a while and then stops before reaching the end of the disc. It must be getting stuck on a file in that folder. Ah...but it was so nice to have custom gamma correction while it lasted. Oh well, I've read the Radeon 5000's have overlay gamma correction so there's still hope.
