1. Update your burner's firmware (if available)
http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.ph...4&postcount=10
2. Use good quality media only
visit http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s...3&postcount=25
and
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s....php?p=3976250
3. Try lowering your burn speed (not below 4x; if you have a 16x burner and 16x rated media try writing to it at 12x instead of 16x)
4. If you're using +R, +RW, or +R DL media, change the booktype to "dvd-rom"
http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 (step 3)
5. Avoid sticker labels (they tend to cause problems)
6. Try setting a custom size of 4300 in Clonedvd (but if you're using good media, you shouldn't have to) if you're using regular single layer dvd-5 (4.7GB) discs.

Bad burn quality is notorious around the end of discs (see step 6)
and also at layer breaks when using low quality DL media (use Verbatim +R DL media, and change the booktype to "dvd-rom)

Uhh, wait a minute. What exactly does that mean?

Burning and writing are the same thing . . .

Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to say.

This statement doesn't make any sense. Do you mean rip to your harddrive?

I'm not sure what you're using to copy n burn, but, I use Anydvd and Clonedvd...there is no need to rip to you're harddrive first....leave Anydvd alone...it does it's thing in the background...clonedvd will copy direct to a blank. The only time I use any other program is when a movie is too long...then I use Dvd shrink 3.1 to copy to a specified folder...then use Clonedvd to burn....hope this helps.
P. S.....Anydvd N Clonedvd rock!!!

Yes, you can do it this way but I don't recommend it. Even when I don't do a lot of editing on a DVD before burning I always rip to my HDD and then burn. I find it to be a far more reliable method and I also get a chance to preview the ripped DVD before burning it to a blank only to find out that I made a mistake somewhere.
