Mine hasn't come yet and I have to leave soon. sigh. I plan on doing some very similar tests with my PS3. I've got some verbatim BD-RE SL discs kicking around so I'll use that for a full disc backup. And I'll make an xvid, as well, and stream that to the PS3. Will be fun. I want to check the DVD, as well.

I misunderstood what Peer was saying. I didn't believe it would be but was confused. I also think this crap will be on the DVD, too, but, until I get my copy delivered I can't test any of it.

don't know if 'repo man' north america has cinavia...(it's been rumored to have it) but i backed it up as an mkv....played it from a harddrive through patriot home box office onto a sony bdp n460 with no audio problems...am now making a 25 gig bdr.....have not updated any firmware on player, home box office...mkv plays flawlessly on tmt home computer as well..last updated tmt a couple of months ago...have sent info per bumblebee to slysoft... can post log files to both here if it will help.... |

Hopefully someone can report back this evening on how this all works out. fast eddie says his copy worked. Are you playing this back on a PS3 or another Blu-ray player?

It's in his post. It says he tried it on a "Sony BDP-S301" with the latest firmware (5.30). However, after a quick Google search, I've found that the latest firmware is actually 5.40 and I can't find any mention that that player currently supports Cinavia anyway. So I'm not sure how useful his testing is at this point.

I wonder if The Losers was chosen to be the first Cinavia disc as a joke?
