Omegaman7,

Maybe you should check for it in the future. I make a habit of testing for Cinavia after a firmware upgrade. I have six stand alone blu-ray players that are Cinavia free as of now and I would like to keep them that way is case a solution is not found for it.

Yea, I have a test file I use. I re-encoded about 25 minutes of The Losers into an MP4 with 2 channel AACS audio and use that. It trips the PS3 just nicely. You could easily convert one to a DVD to have a test disc that'll play on any player to test it out.

Just nuke that stuff and be done with it.
I hear you. I really want to keep the menu. But if the "movie only" backup of BLACKTHORN, which I am doing now, plays back fine on the PS3 and Powerdvd 9, then I will have to think about the movie only option as my backup method going forward.

Good to know. I currently use SALT and THE KARATE KID.

I completely understand wanting to keep everything. But I do think that movie only is safer until we can get CloneBD to rebuild our discs.

Yea, any of those will work. I've got The Losers, Salt, Karate Kid 2010, Green Hornet, and probably a couple more that I'm not thinking of right now. Any of those will make good tests.

There's been a lot of talk about it, and they're saying this is the year, but, no firm date yet. I'm hoping for my birthday next month.

It should be noted that the initial version of CloneBD won't remove Cinavia. If Cinavia becomes more of a threat going forward, you can bet that it will get updated at some point to do so.
