I actually wondered about that but I haven't posted about my curiosity. I don't have....that software....to try it so I was waiting for someone to post on doom9 crying that it no longer works.
Somehow I think we'd have seen posts about it by now if that were the case, so, I'm doubtful it's been blocked in 3.56.

i have firmware 3.56 and can confirm that cinavia is still active . last night tried to watch resident evil afterlife and after 20 min up came the error message. when i stream it from my computer with ps3 media server it does not come up. also has anyone tried taking the main movie and converting it to a m2ts file and see if this works. i have done it with the mkv and can confirm that it does. but you have to convert the audio to ac3

I did not read the entire thread so not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but it isnt listed in first post.
Regarding the Western Digital WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player 1st Gen - model: WDBABX0000NBK ... Firmware v1.03.39 does not appear to have Cinivia protection. Only tested with RE Afterlife (MKV). I did have a later official firmware release but rolled back to 1.0.39, so I cannot attest to the later version (which was/is, I believe, 1.0.49) or any versions that may have been released more recently. But again, 1.0.39 appears to be "clean". Maybe this will help some of you. |

I have PS software 3.15, so I was surprised when Cinavia activated during the playback of SALT.
First time I've ever seen it! cwh |
