Default Title "Brothers (2009)" doesn't remove region coding

Hi all,

I've used AnyDVD HD to back up a number of titles but for the first time I've run into an error where AnyDVD HD doesn't remove the region coding. I have a region A copy and my drive is revion B. I've tried a number of different settings on AnyDVD including fixing the region code with no luck.

I've got the latest version of AnyDVD (6.6.8.0).

I've attached the log file and the status shown in AnyDVD is below.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Brothers (2009)

Code:
Total size: 11737120 sectors (22924 MBytes)
Video Blu-ray label: BROTHERS
Media is AACS protected!
AACS MKB version 16
Removed AACS copy protection!
Note: automatic detection of region code not possible with this disc.
Blu-ray Java signatures fixed!
BD-Live deactivated!
Attached Files
File Type: zip AnyDVD_6.6.8.0_Info_E_BROTHERS.zip (110.5 KB, 1 views)

Then you need to manually set it in AnyDVD. To your logfile:

AnyDVD_Status

Code:
Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 6.6.8.0)
ATAPI IHES2082 8L09 2009/07/02 10:48
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

Media is a Blu-Ray disc.

Total size: 11737120 sectors (22924 MBytes)
Video Blu-ray label: BROTHERS
Media is AACS protected!
AACS MKB version 16
Removed AACS copy protection!
Note: automatic detection of region code not possible with this disc.
Blu-ray Java signatures fixed!
BD-Live deactivated!
The version of AnyDVD you are using ( 6.6.8.0 ) is up to date. If you are a registered user, I strongly recommend that you update to the latest beta version 6.6.8.1

Code:
ATAPI IHES2082 8L09 2009/07/02 10:48
Please ensure you are using the latest firmware for your optical drive. See here.

Rip speeds on DVD and Blu-Ray might be improved by MediaCodeSpeedEdit. Please see RIPLOCK.
If installed (often from Duplex Secure, Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% ), uninstall SPTD, which is the culprit for slow rips.
See here and here.

Refer here for an list of known problematic filters. Further filter information here

Remove the filter(s):
  1. Create a backup of your registry. Refer here for how to do so.
  2. Download ImgBurn (freeware).
  3. Start ImgBurn and go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order...
  4. Select "clbstor". Click Remove Selected Filter. Click OK.
  5. Reboot.

Whatever programs installed the filter may no longer work properly.
Reinstall the piece of software that originally installed the filter to get things working again if necessary.
It is not recommended that you do so, however, because the problem will likely happen again at a later time

For clarification: DON'T set AnyDVD to set a specific region manually.
Set it for "automatic removal". If AnyDVD can't determine the region code of the disc, it will pprompt you for it. THEN specify the region of the DISC.

Hi Peer,

Thanks for the reply. I am a registered user so will check the latest beta.

AnyDVD HD didn't ask for a region code (well not that I can remember anyways)

I'll reply shortly after trying the beta out.

Cheers...

From what I can tell, you didn't have AnyDVD set to remove blu-ray region codes at all - that's why AnyDVD didn't bother to ask.
