Default Problem backing up, E 13:26:26 Processing stopped: E:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB: read err

Hey SlySoft Forum!!!

First off, I need to say it - I LOVE AnyDVD/CloneDVD. I've been using it for over a year now and it has saved me tons of money. Kids DVDs are so friggin expensive and they have a special talent, destroying them! Whenever we get a new DVD they know they need to wait until it's backed up.

So, I'm trying to backup/copy a DVD "Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 4: Vol.1" and I keep getting the same error message. I've tried cleaning it, and have even tried another disc (rented another one from the store) but same problem. I have been successful in copying other discs in the set, but not this one.

The message I get is:
Processing Error:

E:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB: read error

Please ensure you are using the latest firmware for your optical drive. See here.

Rip speeds on DVD and Blu-Ray might be improved by MediaCodeSpeedEdit. Please see RIPLOCK.
If installed (often from Duplex Secure, Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% ), uninstall SPTD, which is the culprit for slow rips.
See here and here.

AnyDVD_Log

Code:
 25.43s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5
 33.06s: read sectors failed, sense 3:11:5
 41.59s: read sectors failed, sense 4:3e:2
 41.59s: read error 2018342 to 2018343, max 3844270, io->read_error 0
There are read errors which can be caused by a badly pressed disc, dirty disc, damaged disc, problematic filters, driver conflicts, and a slowly dying DVD drive among other things.

See here. Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program. With Anydvd running in the background, select the tab labelled "scandisc". Select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". If Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors, your disc is (probably) bad and needs to be exchanged--even if it plays fine (or your optical drive could be slowly dying).
