Default Hardware DVD Burner issues Sony and Panasonic

Using EITHER my Sony VCR/DVD Recorder Combo or my Panasonic VCR/DVD Recorder Combo to record to a DVD-R media when I try to play the DVD on my Windows XP machine the otherwise unprotected disc with AnyDVD active I get the following error and AnyDVD crashes:

Additionally, if I try to run the DVD through CloneDVD2 after disabling AnyDVD it craps out with a "Invalid Start Block ID" error and dies.
The recording does play on hardware DVD players and PCs without AnyDVD but I need to disable AnyDVD on my PC to play the DVD recording.

Anydvd is intended for use with officially released commercial dvds and not dvds created from standalone dvd recorders.
