Help. Keep getting error message " failed to init ElbyCDIO"

I have been using anydvd and clonedvd for 6 years. I recently had to have my computer hard drive wiped and so now I am reinstalling programs. I went to reinstall my anydvd and clonedvd, but they will not start. As soon as installation is complete I get the error message : failed to init elbyCDIO. I can't start or open either product. I have uninstalled in safe mode and reinstalled with my anti-virus and firewall disabled and I even uninstalled my malware and site advisor and uninstalled anydvd and reinstalled. I keep getting the error message and can't get either program to open/work. I am using windows xp. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I love these programs and want to be able to use them again. thanks
